ETIQUETTE
Be prepared to take off your shoes before entering someone’s home, temples, and even some shops.
Smile as often as possible.
The WAI: Some websites advise against it because where you put your hands is important, but whenever Squid tried it the reactions were positive. If you’re not comfortable, just bowing your head seemed to be polite enough.
Shops will sometimes round up the price of items. So something advertised as 7 Baht might cost you 10. For more.

TIPPING
Tips are welcome but not necessary, except in the upper echelon of services. Masseuses and masseurs should be tipped. For more.
